Thursday, October 15th, 2009While I write this I am sitting in a treestand rather, a stand on wood stilts surrounded by trees. The reason for this is that I am deer hunting. I want to state outright that I hunt for one reason only. I like venison hotsticks. I’m not pounding back beer or hard liqour nor going to strip clubs. These are some things that lots of people unfortunately associate with hunting because there are some hunters that do those things. Chances are, that they are the same hunters you read about in the paper or hear on the news that have either shot a member of their hunting party or have fallen out of their stand.
This brings me to the other part of this post title. While it’s very peaceful sitting in the woods and seeing the changing leaves, after a while it’s nice to be able do things like catch up on news, email or text my little Mrs and take pictures.
